Nickel 1-m Telescope Observing Time Form for proposal CoverSheet

This on-line form generates the CoverSheet of a proposal for Nickel 1-m time. Only proposal CoverSheets generated using the online forms will be considered by the TAC. Complete the form on-line, review it in the web browser, make corrections as needed, and submit the completed form. The submission will return a CoverSheetId for that proposal. Create a PDF file containing the scientific justification. Follow the links to the proposal submission web page, and submit the proposal to go with the proposal CoverSheet. N.B. Creating a proposal CoverSheet and submitting the scientific justification are separate steps. A scientific proposal is not complete unless both steps are performed.

The active semester is 2025A.
The Executive Assistant to the Director <assistant@ucolick.org> can control the above setting and can also answer other questions about the proposal process.

The active semester 2025A is for the NORMAL process of Nickel 1-m submission, review, and time assignment for proposals that will be evaluated based on scientific merit.
Under special circumstances pre-approved by the Assistant Director in charge of Nickel 1-m, LATE additions for the current semester 2024B may still be possible.
(The RESERVED semester options allow scheduling of Nickel 1-m for special events farther into the future.)
In order to be added to the schedule all of these require the submission of a CoverSheet.

Edit existing Nickel 1-m Telescope proposal CoverSheet

The content of an existing proposal CoverSheet can be edited after its initial submission.
Note however:
After the proposal deadline any changes MUST be communicated with and approved by the Assistant Director in charge of this telescope.

CoverSheet Id from existing proposal: (e.g.; S004, N003, A005)

OR, for very old CoverSheets, enter the e-mail address of PI on existing CoverSheet

In order to edit an existing CoverSheet complete the above inputs and press the EDIT button

Re-use content of an existing Nickel 1-m Telescope proposal CoverSheet from a prior semester
in a new proposal CoverSheet

The content of a previous proposal CoverSheet can be re-used as a template to be edited and submitted for the active semester.

Prior semester of previous proposal: (e.g.; 2013B, 2013Q1)

CoverSheet Id from previous proposal: (e.g.; S004, N003, A005)

enter the password for the previous CoverSheet
OR, for very old CoverSheets, enter the e-mail address of PI on the previous CoverSheet

In order to re-use an old CoverSheet complete the above inputs and press the RE-USE button
